Actually, I read once that the higher transmission rates in some parts Africa have been partially attributed to a practice where the vagina is dried out with rags before sex(which makes it somewhat more painful for the woman) it causes microcuts in the vagina that increase heterosexual transmission rates considerably.
That was actually what made me give that example, but obviously it didn't apply to gay sex, because men don't have vaginas.
that is very interesting, i've never heard of that before. female sex in african cultures has always been messed up like that, it prioritizes male enjoyment over a female's own health, surely you have also heard of female circumcision, it is kinda freaky that stuff like that is spreading in america with no regulation.
