Honestly I've seen some pretty ridiculous posts on this site about people trying to tell others that they should feel ashamed if they watched the Super Bowl or that if they do they're supporting communism. Yeah, some people who spent the better part of their lives busting their ass for everything they have, just magically overnight become communists because they spent a few hours watching a football game. Guys stupidity like this was why so many of us left the left. We don't want these public displays of people trying to tell us what we should do, what we should read, or what we should watch. (Though I'm fine with anyone recommending alternatives things we could try to support instead.) We don't want this hive mind group think bullshit. We want people to make their own choices. Even ones we disagree with. Especially ones we disagree with. People have had a shit year, many of them have lost their jobs, their savings, businesses, many of them have lost friends and family because of their politics, and we all watched an election get stolen from right under us. If watching this game brings these people just a few moments of levity just so they can keep pressing on, I'm not going to shit on that for them. I get the alot of people are angry about the way things turned out. But we really need to stop lashing out in this way. It's not productive and it's just not healthy. We want to oppose the far left, not each other with absurd purity tests.

We are fighting for America. That being said, I would never tell someone not to do something. I know why I chose to stop watching NFL. Every American is different and has different beliefs. I feel strongly about flag and National anthem. So I made a choice. I don't judge people who watch. We have been judged for supporting our President. So I ask are we no better than the left if we judge for watching?
