They aren't true republicans though, as that implies they're for the republic. It's like putting black stripes on a dog and calling it a zebra: sure it may look similar and naturally get pulled over a heck of a lot more by police, but the two are completely different. In the case of guys like mitch and pence they might be running under the republican banner, but they're more democrat apologists than anything.
