Let me start this by saying I work skilled trades every single day of my life in a non-union shop and would never work in a union shop I don't care if they pay more I don't care if they give you benefit I will never work for someone who keeps lazy people employed.
January 2020 the township my parents reside in announced they were getting a new police station or at least updating the police station due to the growth in the town. The police department rented the top floor of an office building as a temporary Police Department That was supposed to last until October 2020
Here we are on February 8th and everybody's on strike on the construction crew because they're unhappy.
What I can't figure out is what they're unhappy about are they unhappy about being 5 months behind are they unhappy about being lazy are they unhappy about being able to stand there and not work while we have no Police Department in this town and there's people who would love to go to work today and make money for their family.
I remember the day when trade unions actually did something good for people now they just keep lazy people employed and jeopardize the safety of entire communities while doing so....
This is the epitome of a democratic-run city this shit happens all the time and no one questions it everybody's like oh the poor worker no one's like who the fuck cares your 5 months behind finish the fucking job

I'm starting a real life like you know it's all just a big game I'm at that age where I'm coming out of being a child is starting to come and starting to realize that the world is actually a really fucked-up place all those utopian dreams of socialism and communism don't fucking work
I grew up in that town I remember when it was 4 police officers, and they all were off duty by 730pm.
It's still a great township to reside in, minus the no police station, 20 minute Fire response times, 10 minute EMS response times, a township commissioner (and family lawyer) who publicly said all trump supporters should be executed (still has his seat)... Raods that haven't been paved since I was 5,I'm 30....
But we got a dope ice cream shoppe and Dorney Park keeps the taxes ultra low....
All in all a fair trade.... Glad I got outta there when I had the chance... I'd never move back.
North East trade unions and Mafia are essentially the same thing....
