No. Impeachment is get someone OUT of office. Once impeached, they then cannot hold office ever again. And these things are true only if the senate convicts.
OP has an excellent point. How the hell can they impeach him when he is not in office? That would be like impeaching Tom Brady so he can't ever run in the future!.
I understand OP's point, I'm just saying they don't care because the House already impeached Trump, constitutionally or no. They're interested (desperate, even) to apply the conditions of an impeachment against Trump, namely that he may not hold office and seek a second term.
