The excuse is: "We're doing everything within our power to slow the virus and stop it. It's not 100% perfect. If you don't do everything within our self-appointed power that we determine necessary, then you are literally a grandma killer and you'll be fined, banned, and jailed."

AMERICANS NEED TO STAND UP TO POLICIES THAT ARE CLEARLY IRRATIONAL. THIS WOULD BE ONE OF THEM. AND WHILE WE ARE ON THE TOPIC, THERE SHOULD BE NO FEDERAL SUBSIDIES FOR AIRLINES. THEY CAN SINK OR SWIM ON THEIR OWN. EASILY REPLACED WITH PATRIOT AIRLINES SINCE THE CURRENT COMPANIES ARE ANYTHING BUT THAT.

COVID-19 is on the no fly list. You are safe in an airplane.

Or how about those new plexiglass barriers between you and the cashier at the grocery store?

Now I feel so well protected from the cashier who is touching every single product I buy with their bare hands! Science excelsior!

I'm at the IQ level where it's just funny as hell to me to watch all these retards just do their daily routines like this. I can't imagine the mental anguish it would bring onto somebody that's actually smart.

15
TheOutlawPepeWales 15 points ago +15 / -0

I'm about as far above average as average is above moron. To me the whole world looks like a bunch of retards eating paste, but it's not so bad when you let Jesus take the wheel. Unlike every politician and activist and aspiring social media "influencer", I don't want to rule the world. All I want is to be left alone to grok the comic tragedy of life before dementia drags me down into the abyss with the rest of the blissfully ignorant smoothbrains.

Heh. I feel your pain. I’ve said many times how much easier life would be if I were as simple as the leftists.

Masks ON AT ALL TIMES, until you and the stranger next to you decide to have a drink or eat something.

10

because covid doesn't work when you're eating or drinking anything.

exactly, covid is basically a vampire. it's far more dangerous at night.

paid 1000$ for plane tickets 2020 in Jan to leave 4 HI in Oct... then shit went down... Airline only gave me 400$ back, gave me 600$-2ticket-"credit" that I have 2 use by 2022. I've never worn mask, they force that---I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK!! I got Airline-Bait-&-$switched :(

9
Trump2020Cruz2024 9 points ago +9 / -0

Same problem here with $8000 spent on a cruise. Had a chance to get the money back before shit went nuts. Cruise line said ‘if we cancel your cruise, we will give you 150% back!’ We waited. They canceled. Now it’s $12000 in cruise credit... and looks like they are cancelling our replacement cruise this year too. Wonder if I can trade that credit for stock....

8
Skogin 8 points ago +8 / -0

Same with us. I won’t be participating in anything that requires jumping thru hoops for this medical tyrannical scam.

4
dakin116 4 points ago +4 / -0

Similar experience here. We like cruises but now thinking about getting an RV as cruises are probably the most likely to require masks and vaccinations. Any kind of traveling with the public is going to be a complete shit show

6
Darkheartisland 6 points ago +6 / -0

I had to fight United for three months over a flight they canceled in Mar.

6
Darkheartisland 6 points ago +6 / -0

I went to Singapore in February when people were beginning to panic for the fun of it. Fares were dirt cheap. I even did a Las-ORD for $30 round trip in March.

1
anon1011101 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was flying all thru March and April because I was working remotely at the time, and this was before all the mask orders so the airlines didn't have any special COVID regulations in place. I had an entire commercial plane to myself on one layover, they let me sit in first class and I got free drinks. That 2-3 month "dead period" when nobody was flying was actually glorious. $200 round trip flights from Boston to Santa Barbara, CA, booked the day before

1
Darkheartisland 1 point ago +1 / -0

The golden age of the China virus. The only problem was the lack of toilet paper.

5
DiscoverAFire 5 points ago +5 / -0

Keep harassing them, they're starting to give out more and more cash refunds.

3
AJoeDD 3 points ago +3 / -0

It would be nice if you could sue. Most individuals may not bother, but perhaps if we joined together it would be worth the effort. Years ago I've narrowly dodged them screwing my plans in exchange for shit gifts several times. When they overbooked and wouldn't allow boarding until someone agreed not to fly. Any cancellation seems like they failed to provide the contracted service and the failure led to damages, it should be something they're accountable for. Not sure if they escape responsibility for any screw over by terms of ticket purchases or anything. Unfortunately it seems that market competition has yet to provide decent US airline service, surprisingly.

1
LiskaEman 1 point ago +1 / -0

I flew last fall. Total clusterfuck. So many people not even wearing masks properly, others walking around in what could be construed as Hazmat suits. Airports had literally NO social distancing and were absolutely packed with people (CLT especially, total fucking mayhem there). Really opened my eyes to the whole "wow, restaurants are forced to close (where small groups of people are mostly distanced by default) yet this mass grouping (planes and airports) is allowed and out-of-control."

1
anon1011101 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've been flying the whole time. In March and April, before the mask mandates, flying was glorious. You'd have entire rows to yourself on a plane and fares were rock-bottom. The airlines hadn't suspended their food and drink service yet, but they had all this extra stuff that was going to waste, so you could get free food and drinks all you wanted.

7
HighVoltage 7 points ago +7 / -0

Because the virus is a hoax, and none of this is about your health.

MagicVirus

5
GeoG85 5 points ago +7 / -2

Masks are a form of Air Control.

Viruses can spread through Air Traffic.

That's the fuckin' point of a mask.

Same for a condom - it's to help prevent. Just a fuckin' tool.

Planes are already suffocating enough with that false air going around, the shared air.

I guess this is 2021's, Duck and Cover in-case a nuclear bomb goes off. Just fake safety to plascade the retards that can't think.

7
Skogin 7 points ago +7 / -0

It was never sufficiently established that the CCP virus is transmitted by air. In fact, the early studies were showing otherwise, including the lack of effacacy with surgical/cloths masks. It’s probably mostly surface transmission, just like other pathogens. Masks are a sad joke.

8
TheOutlawPepeWales 8 points ago +8 / -0

And healthy people don't need to wear them because there's still no evidence of asymptomatic transmission. That claim is entirely fabricated by media reports of modeling based on assumptions that have absolutely no supporting science.

5
Skogin 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes, I keep forgetting some of the key arguments against the false narrative because THERE ARE SO DAMN MANY OF THEM.

2
AJoeDD 2 points ago +2 / -0

its telling, you can find by a quick search that condoms prevent pregnancy 99% or so of the time. Try and search what % of virus transmission gets blocked by a mask, or something similar, and you get "PuT oN YoUR MASK, ya bigot". Perhaps a few "Why masks work!" featuring a condescending tone about how obvious it is and how idiots don't believe the science, that eventually might link to a study showing how a mask blocked non-viral things like bacteria or phlegm on a slow-motion camera. Just try getting something like a simple bar graph showing efficacy, I dare you!

2
anon1011101 2 points ago +2 / -0

3

Literally just flew yesterday, this is no fucking joke, it's reality. Also, can't use water fountains or every other urinal, but everyone can touch the screens to get your boarding pass and luggage tag. Those things weren't cleaned once.

2
GlobalPatriotism 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've flown several times now. … I am dead now.

2

3
BotFlyPenis 3 points ago +3 / -0

I will never fly again.

2
anon1011101 2 points ago +2 / -0

I honestly don't mind flying because I am exercising my Constitutional right to freedom of travel, and I ignore my state's bullshit quarantine order as a matter of routine. Just to stick it to the local authorities who think I'm gonna go sit in a room for 14 days just because I crossed state lines

2
valley 2 points ago +2 / -0

If ONE positive came out of this Bull Shit Dempanic, I was hoping it would be that airlines removed every other row of seats so those of us tall guys and gals could have a little more leg room. BUT NOOOO, the still cram us in like sheep. Oh wait just a minute......

2
DNONPC 2 points ago +2 / -0

The airplane is using HEPA air filtration with about 50 air exchanges per hour......but the CDC won't encourage the use of ventilation and filtration....just more masks. A virus cloud will bypass any number of masks in a poorly ventilated room.

2
conserve_west 2 points ago +2 / -0

This.is highly innacurate!

It takes FAR longer then 30 mins to be able to board a plane!

Debunked!

2
USURPER-BIDEN 2 points ago +4 / -2

Not a single person is calling bullshit on the 30 minutes later.

I've been through alot of Americas airports. Nothing takes 30 minutes. They take so long the soul and life is sucked out of you so that when u finally get on the plane you don't mind being treated like cattle.... Cause it's better than being in line....

2
DiscoverAFire 2 points ago +2 / -0

It was awesome during the beginnings of pandemic. Easily 30 minutes or less.

2
rich77 2 points ago +2 / -0

No kidding. I flew from EWR to ATL for vacation in July (lol) and didn’t wait on a line once. Didn’t even have to get my temp checked. Was a good time.

1
anon1011101 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah the early Corona "dead period" of flying was pretty awesome. No TSA lines, planes practically empty, etc

1
rich77 1 point ago +1 / -0

Life in general was pretty good. This was before they really, really cracked down. Most places were open under the radar, no traffic, no lines for anything, no cops patrolling. It was actually pretty cool. I’ll never forget I drove from MSG to Yankees stadium with no red lights and parking anywhere on the street. Got home from YS in 42 minutes, vs the usual 1.5hrs+

0
USURPER-BIDEN 0 points ago +2 / -2

I know, I rented a car drove across country to see things I'd never see other eise. Did well over 150mph through monument valley, was the only car on the road...

Flew home outta Denver was 38$. Got there at 950 for a 1030 flight. Had the whole row to myself. Laid back and relaxed.....

2
Primus88 2 points ago +2 / -0

LOWER THE PCR TEST RATES!!!! WHILE THREATEN NEW DEADLIER STRAINS COMING! What a shitshow.... I said from day ONE viruses mutate and got attacked by leftist on our local news forum. Hmmm why do you think the flu vaccine is the "best guess of how it mutates" every year to protect you? They will play this out until the unforeseeable future!

2
Light_HIV_Effect 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's worse because it's all the same air being circulated in a metal enclosed tube. That was like an old Carlin joke or something, having smoking sections in an airplane before it was banned. Completely fucking worthless.

Then they walk around with their little cart and let you eat and drink on the plane with no mask on. And they think they're really doing something to help. Hello? Hello?

Just look at how people behave on a plane before, masks are nothing more than virtue signaling. It doesn't stop them from coughing all over the place, touching their face, putting their smelly disgusting feet into the next row, and the seats are never wiped down, you'd have to be insane to think masks do much of anything.

1
thisisatestof2 1 point ago +1 / -0

I flew over Christmas and it was the most infuriating thing I’ve watched. Earlier it was all about not touching your face, so wear a mask instead, wash your hands, etc.

On the plane the mindless sheep would literally pulled her mask off and then using the exact same hand put a snack in their mouth, put their mask back up eat that bite and repeat the process. At that point, why don’t you just rub your hand all over the walls, seat, arm rest, etc. And lick it.

1
Peppers 1 point ago +1 / -0

God forbid they pull a few seats out to make the ride more luxurious. I wouldn't be surprised if they took the down time to add a few extra rows. Now you have 16" of space for relaxing. The airlines need to fail

1
DutchDonFan 1 point ago +1 / -0

The airlines are allowed to keep flying. As payback they will comply with allowing only vaccinated people without objection.

2
anon1011101 2 points ago +2 / -0

jokes on them i already forged my vaxx papers and have my laminated official "COVID Vaccination record"

1
anon1011101 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is most definitely the end times for our country. We have a fake president, a fake virus, fake media, everything is FAKE

1

cuhboose 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not going to lie, had to fly to Thailand for family affairs and was on Qatar airways with my wife and 2 kids and it wasn't that bad. We all had our own row and they seemed to be keeping the middle seat reserved out so nobody could book it.

Mathelm 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not for nothing. I don't like people standing on my ass while in line.
But having it that far is silly.

1
AJoeDD 1 point ago +1 / -0

Last time I was flying they made us stand like in the top pic ahead of boarding, which went down an escalator where they formed another such queue. There wasn't enough space so this led to a literal pileup at the bottom of the escalator with people carrying their bags. Brilliance.

-20
Bushwookiee07 -20 points ago +4 / -24

The air on the plane is probably safer than anywhere else. Pressurized air comes from the engine compressor section and is ultra filtered. That’s one reason why the transmission rate is basically zero for airline travelers.

-3
Bushwookiee07 -3 points ago +2 / -5

So what are your qualifications in the aviation industry?

5
IncredibleMrE1 5 points ago +5 / -0

Common sense. Filtered air matters jack-shit when the person 6 inches from my face is coofing.

-2
Bushwookiee07 -2 points ago +3 / -5

So nothing, got it. Just wear your mask like a good little sheep if you’re scared of covid.

3
magacoder 3 points ago +3 / -0

He wasn't saying masks work, he's just saying your air filter argument is flawed.

You're literally crammed into a tin full of people. Just because you have air filtration doesn't mean the person beside you or the person before you who fiddled with the air nozzle, or the person won't affect you.

It's about risks. I always get sick from the plane, that's part of the risk. I don't hide inside and not go anywhere because of it. I also don't fool myself into thinking a little mask will do shit.

I do wipe down the tray table because they don't and it's disgusting + I sleep on it.

9
racer513 9 points ago +10 / -1

Except the air is about 70% recycled and not fresh. Yes, it goes through a hepa filter. But really. The air isnt the biggest hazard. Aircraft are cesspools of germs.

2
Bushwookiee07 2 points ago +2 / -0

Here is a simple explanation of the Boeing 737 air conditioning system. You’ll not that far less than 70% of air is recycled, and even that some aircraft, notably the MD-80, have almost no recycled air.

1
chewsoap 1 point ago +1 / -0

How about when the airplane is on the ground during boarding and deplaning? Does that time count? Tell us about how APUs and ground air works.

1
Bushwookiee07 1 point ago +1 / -0

Depends on the plane, but the APU provides bleed air and electricity to the aircraft. The only time air would be stagnant is if they boarded with everything shut down, which I know they do sometimes, and it sucks. The point still stands that the one thing everyone is violating your rights for is the one thing you won’t get on a plane.

-5
Bushwookiee07 -5 points ago +1 / -6

That isn’t true, most of it is fresh from outside. The pressurization system has a dump valve that lets pressure out when it reaches or exceeds the set cabin altitude. Some is recycled through filters, most is fresh from outside.

6
patriothorse 6 points ago +6 / -0

When my husband was very vulnerable and bedridden, prone to catch illness from others, every single time people flew in to visit him, he got very sick the next day. To their annoyance I started making them change their clothes and shower before greeting him and he stopped getting sick from the visits.

1
Bushwookiee07 1 point ago +2 / -1

Right, and it wasn’t because of the air on the plane, which was my entire point in the first place. Even if masks worked, they wouldn’t protect you from someone pissing on the floor in the bathroom or some kid puking all over a row of seats. The air filters and bleed air from the compressor make the risk of airborne transmission of anything almost zero.

6
deleted 6 points ago +7 / -1
-2
Bushwookiee07 -2 points ago +2 / -4

Must be the mask I don’t wear right? It’s not like I’m a fucking pilot or have a degree in aviation maintenance or anything. Yes masks are fucking stupid anywhere. Just because you people don’t understand how airplanes work doesn’t mean I’m a fucking idiot for stating true fact.

4
deleted 4 points ago +4 / -0
3
Bushwookiee07 3 points ago +3 / -0

I’m literally telling you you don’t fucking need a mask. There is no risk of transmitting covid on a plane. The statistics for that are almost zero.

3
deleted 3 points ago +3 / -0
2
Bushwookiee07 2 points ago +2 / -0

The title was “What’s the difference?” I only explained the difference and everyone lost their shit. It is a fact that air on a plane is safer than in the terminal. That matters for a virus they claim is airborne. Not trying to be a dick but half the problem with the left is they have unqualified shitheads talking about things they don’t know anything about.
