Reminded me of when I lived in Portland. I'd do nice things for the neighbors, but they still remained standoffish for the most part. Polite when socially 'cornered', sure... even civil. But there was always that undercurrent of considering me as part of The Other(tm).

It's a peak into the selfish narcissism our schools and shit parents have ingrained into this generation, my fellow millennials. He/she/it (whatever the fuck these retarded fake news people identify as) can manage to take this kind act, which I'm sure the neighbor didn't care at all about, and create this dramatized clown reality out of it. If psychologists actually did their jobs we'd be hearing all about this mental health crisis that is liberalism.
One of the problems is that the psychology and social work departments have been almost entirely taken over by women. I went to some sort of event at a psychology department at a major university and absolutely everyone working there was a woman.
Same sort of issue with the teaching profession.
There’s a massive lack of balance where one sort of thinking style (such as emotional rather than technical/logical) dominates and problems start happening because of that. Diversity of brain function (empathizing vs systemizing for example) is actually needed in these fields and you get less of that if 1) everyone is a woman and 2) the “politically incorrect” women are kicked out or leave.
Well, to be fair, I also have a hard time believing an honest and well-informed person can genuinely believe Hillary or Biden would make a good president.
I also can’t give my neighbors absolution; it’s not mine to give. Free driveway work, as nice as it is, is just not the same currency as justice and truth. To pretend it is would be to lie, and they probably aren’t looking for absolution anyway.

You might see sanity up North, around the Layton and Ogden areas; Hill AFB tends to de-mormonize things, yet has enough military families around to keep it at least somewhat based (my wife is from around there). Just don't go too far south or north from there - Kaysville/Bountiful is hard LDS Central, as is Logan/Brigham City. Provo is prolly still the hardest-Mormon of them all.

I lived in sugar house about 10 years ago and my jaw dropped driving through there a month ago. The construction is insane.
