Can a successful secessio plebis be organized somehow? Or a deliberate citizen-led blockage of infrastructure. Are there ANY things that GTA relies on from the outlying districts such that they could find life difficult if they were deprived of if even for a mild time?
Canadian pede here, grew up in Alberta and lived in GTA/Kingston for 6 years. Quebec narrowly stayed in on a referendum to leave and it was commonly undestood that.in today's day and age a legit vote would definitely allow succession. Quebec voted something like 50.5 no to 49.5 yes.
If Alberta voted in a referendum to separate I would vote yes, but without access to the ocean in some way (joining based states connecting us to Texas/south, or BC or Manitoba and Saskatchewan join us) we'd be economically destroyed.
