The BSA opened up to allow openly gay boys/adults to join, as this was against the Church's beliefs and values, they pulled all membership and separated from BSA very quickly. Most of BSA's funding was from the church so all that dried up too.

If people see that this is a substandard scouting experience, they will take their time/money/effort elsewhere.
