No? Without a search warrant, you don't get access to private property and the search warrant has to state what specifically they're looking for. If they're looking for guns but find drugs, they can't do anything because they have to keep to the scope of the warrant.

How is this even a thing? Who the fuck is appealing this? This is due process. You can't just come in. If that goes through, they'll be able to just say they're looking for guns and gain access to properties without cause. What the fuck haha.

This goes against unlawful search and seizure and due process.

The Fourth Amendment is what you’re referring to, and it’s been null and void since the day they passed the “Patriot Act”.

There are a few exceptions, basically in emergencies, but they are wanting to expand the emergency loopholes.
