Fox is keeping him on contract but not giving him a show. They have him in limbo

If Fox fired Dobbs what contract do they have? All that Fox have now is a peaceful resolution of said Contract...

It's possible that he was fired from hosting a TV show but not let go from his contract. Think of it as benching a player but still having him under contract.

Do you think that Dobbs would sign such a non-constructive and belittling contract?

What you sign and what you get are two different things depending on how much lawyer power you have behind you. Lots of musicians thought they signed a straight deal then get screwed over once the lawyers come out.

I don't know - but there are such things as "standard contracts" and standard provisions that are difficult to change. This may be one of those things.

Lou Dobbs may be able to put in - you can't stop my paychecks - but not much more.

Would you accept millions of dollars in return for your silence?

Nothing's stopping him from joining Gab and other social media platforms and posting his personal opinions in video format though.

It's this. They cancelled his show but kept him on contract exactly like a spiteful sports team would do to a player to prevent them from going somewhere else. There's also the lawsuits that need to be worked out

This is what dumb ass Loeffler should have done with her joke women’s basketball team. You want to campaign for my opponent? You are all benched and suspended without pay. We will forfeit all games.

They still have him under all the restrictions of the contract, including noncompete provisions. And most contracts for this type of job are written so that many of the provisions continue for some time beyond the end of the contractual employment period. In other words, even though they're apparently still paying him now, even when his contract expires, he won't be instantly free to do or say anything he wants, and he will probably never be free to discuss confidential/nonpublic information about Fox.

Dobbs and OANN are so based, I’d love to see whether they’d be willing to pay whatever free the contract lists for breaking it so just they can out him on air asap.

These contracts don't necessarily have any set fee for ending the agreement early. Fox does not want him jumping to a competitor and they don't have to let him out of the contract at all. He can try to negotiate an exit agreement that would allow him to start working for a competitor very soon, but there's no reason to think Fox would be willing to agree to that, and certainly not at a price that OAN could afford.
