I’m going to be the downer here and remind everyone that life is too short for politics. I’m losing a parent to cancer just now and it’s awful, I’d give anything to have them healthy and well so I could have silly disagreements again.

Please everyone, if your family deserves loving then take a step back and appreciate them while they’re here. Death puts life in perspective, take a moment to smell the goddamn flowers guys.. then resume.

woah i still love him just he infuriates me sometimes and the problem is all he does is listen to the news channels on like a volume so loud you can hear it across the street if the window was open. so literally hearing the news constantly is so damn annoying

I know, I wasn’t saying you didn’t! It’s more a message to everyone that those we love can annoy us but life is very short and one day we’ll give anything to feel annoyed at that person again.

Parents are infuriating and I completely understand how you feel. Here’s an idea, next time you hear the news channel and feel frustrated close your eyes, take a deep breath and say a quick thanks that this person is here and you have another day together. Push through the emotions and just try and enjoy the present day, get out of the house and do stuff you love, when you’re happy nothing seems as difficult. Try and make good memories whenever you can. I hope you both find a way to connect and I wish you well.
