Sometimes folks are very stingy with upvotes. Why? It doesn't cost anything. I'm quite generous with upvotes. And if I like a post enough to comment on it, I always give the post an upvote too. Sometimes I upvote all the comments in a thread right down the line! Participation Trophies for everyone!

I am also pretty old (44) but I like to say updoot because I first heard the term in a comment made on one of my posts by a well-known member here, which was very special to me. Funnily enough, someone here recently accused me of talking like a "Reddit faggot" for using the term "updoot". I updooted him!
