Trust me, if the armed patriots of this country wanted blood they would have gotten blood. A lot of them would have been killed if they tried to actually fight the military on their home turf, but at least some of the military would have died in the exchange. Now in a civil war, where the military has to fight the armed patriots on their home turf, that's when the military is going to get massacred.
