They found 3 unhappy residents out of 130,000 plus one old guy who lives out of his van looking for a lady.

Seriously, the left is insane. If you don't like the Villages lifestyle, don't live there. The author says the high prices are a barrier to entry (100K-1M, which seems reasonable at the low end) BUT one unhappy woman can't move back to Boston because she can't afford it. I am guessing she'd be unhappy anywhere.
