People do business with China because they are the only ones competing in lower and middle tier price segments. American companies don't make many of these products at all, and those that do, sell only very expensive ag/industrial grade products. Buying such products for a non-professional is a good way to ruin yourself financially.

As Trump said, he sells made in China products because the politicians have set up trade deals where refusing to do business or buy China means you don't intend to be competitive with other businesses. You can't stay in business or be financially solvent like that. Rather than this idiotic boycott approach, take the country back and put on a trade embargo against China. Or, push for pro USA trade policies like Trump was enacting (but don't hold your breath). They did attack us with a bioweapon, after all. I say embargo.

Whatever. I buy American. Sure, I might have to buy things that are made in China, but I try to avoid it where possible. I know it probably doesn't make a difference, but at least the stuff I buy works as advertised and for much longer.

Yep, I don't want no trade but I do want fair trade, and I don't want products made in slave shops, thank you very much! 🐸🇺🇸

"they are the only ones competing in lower and middle tier price segments."

Really no offense meant but this is not entirely true. Just hop on Alibaba and you'll find many countries competing on price. I've always been able to find a manufacturing alternative.

Even Bannon did an interview with a Chinese dissident recently and she strongly promoted the boycott as being the most effect thing every day Americans can do. She says we do that and the CCP falls.

So why not do all of the above?

The how come I can buy better products made in India and Vietnam? Then how come I can buy better quality white goods made in Germany/Italy/UK for comparable prices?

If I can buy Australian I will - unfortunately I'm not in the market for coin pouches made from kangaroo scrotums. You think you have little market choice - try living here where EVERYTHING is way more expensive than the USA simply because corporations feel justified in adding massive markups due to distance.

Most of what China sells is shit anyway. Every time something breaks down in Australia the first question anyone asks is "Made in China" was it? It's a literal meme here. Fuck them and their bullying of my country. Other countries are getting competitive and Aussies are boycotting Chinese crap. I will go out of my way and pay more simply to get stuff not made by Chicoms. Maybe starving will force their workforce to finally rise up against their disgusting government.

Chynah can get rooted. BOYCOTT CHINA.
