On this day in 1950: In a speech in Wheeling, WV, Sen. Joseph McCarthy charges that the State Department is riddled with communists. The left forced many into thinking that McCarthy was an evil man. To the contrary, he was a hero who tried to warn us 70 years ago of the mess we are in today. (media.patriots.win)
