Science is completely corrupted like everything else. I've tried to explain this to the academics I know, but they have the system shoved so far up their ass, that they will reflexively circle the wagons and call you "anti-science."
A large part of science is where you look and what you look for. Any "science" that does not comport with the globalist models of profit and control will dismissed and not funded.
It is why there is a new category called "Scientism".

Not to mention, what makes it to peer-review depends on the decisions of publishers who are just as corruptable as any politician.
Many researchers seem to forget that fact. And those who are not working in science but are of "the party of science" have a religious faith that the system is pure and infallible. They need to believe that.
