I don't want Unity. I don't want to be part of the same country as these people. I don't care what they want. I don't care what happens to them. Separate and let them implode into a dystopian nightmare. Buy up all their land and homes after they implode their economy. Slowly start annexing regions until the only thing that remains are shithole blue cities trying to make it as their own countries. The rest of the US lives in peace an prosperity.

They won't allow separation, and they control the world's most powerful military. Any separation will be civil war and/or genocide.

But how can they use that military to stop tens of millions of people spread out throughout the country from making tiny incremental changes in their daily lives (to use mainstream services, products and platforms a little bit less each day)?

Separation does not necessarily mean waving a new flag or physically drawing a line on a map. It can be far more subtle and diffuse than that. And the people who have "dropped out" don't actually have to be geographically concentrated in one area. That may happen later (slowly) but it doesn't have to start that way.
