Let it die ... we have the technology
The next step in killing it, will be the next transportation revolution...
The slum wasn’t killed by unions or capital ... but by the subway ... and then the highway
The suburb replaced the slum
The Internet now has killed the part of the city, that automation hasn’t ... good!
Now we need to unshackle the workforce from salaries and benefits ... free the white collar slaves ... in a nation of contractors, the city will continue its slow and silent death
A city is just the modern day "Market Square"... now the cities trade business, access, and favors. We will see flight to more red and rural areas in the coming decade, especially as unconstitutional agencies start carrying out more and more unconstitutional arrests and people seek out Sheriffs who won't comply.
Wrong
Have you ever felt free to exchange ideas in any random city street?
I don’t think so
You are confusing your private market squares ... clubs, job and friends with a mythical public market square that has never existed
I go to farmers markets and sure feels like a public market square to me
Which is a private place and it’s not a function of any city
The one I go to is on city park property... but whatever, I didn't say anything about being a part of a city function. Even small towns have city councils, the government structure of small town vs cities is the same, only the budgets are different.
