Let it die ... we have the technology
The next step in killing it, will be the next transportation revolution...
The slum wasn’t killed by unions or capital ... but by the subway ... and then the highway
The suburb replaced the slum
The Internet now has killed the part of the city, that automation hasn’t ... good!
Now we need to unshackle the workforce from salaries and benefits ... free the white collar slaves ... in a nation of contractors, the city will continue its slow and silent death
The one I go to is on city park property... but whatever, I didn't say anything about being a part of a city function. Even small towns have city councils, the government structure of small town vs cities is the same, only the budgets are different.
You still have faith in politics as a means of addressing modern problems ... I don’t
There will always be a contract between the state and the people. I believe politics is broken, and big city politics are corrupt as can be... because that's where the tax money collects, and Dems want 100% control of how that money gets spent.
the government everywhere is basically the largest corporation in the area and the only difference is they don't have to work for their revenue.
Controlling the entity comes with a lot of power. Until we can scale back the scope of government, or remove their power of the purse, freedom will continue to be constrained.
You are just describing the eternal problem of government, people that seek power and their instruments never change, neither those that wish to be subservient.
The only thing that has changed has been the laymans view of himself and technology...
The state will always be the largest and most powerful prize among the psychos ... is us who give them power
I agree. The Founding Fathers foresaw this
