I read somewhere that the problem most people have is realizing people like this exist, they want to do harm and they actively go around looking for opportunities to act on these impulses. This is exactly the type of people that are empowered by big, expansive bureaucracies, especially when those bureaucracies become so big and powerful, no one is ever held to account.
I think it's understandable to find this kind of depravity and cruelty unbelievable. I can't fathom that he literally means what he wrote but clearly he does. There is evil in the world. I think death is the only way to protect society from this evil. And I don't like thinking that way. But I don't know how we can take the chance and allow him to ever be near a child.
