The Senate just voted 56 to 44 to confirm they see jurisdiction to prosecute a private citizen. This is un-Constitutional. Just more emphatic proof that the left does not support or defend the Constitution, for which they took an oath. They aren't coming after Trump, they are coming after all who disagree with them. Be prepared.

It was a simple majority requirement to say the impeachment was constitutional and even if all 50 Republicans voted against it they would have just driven Kamala there to break the tie in favor of the Dems.

They still need 67 votes to convict and if we assume every GOP senator that voted against the impeachment also votes to acquit this will fail. But at the same time, it is pretty obvious that they're worried about 2024 and maybe afraid that their voter fraud won't be good enough then after four years of the disaster Biden is.

They just need 17 RINOs on their side so they don't worry about Trump destroying them in four years.

Thing is, it's not supposed to be up to the fucking senate to decide what is and what isn't constitutional.

But hey, I guess we're in full Louie XIV mode now.

Exactly. Isnt this literally the exact reason the supreme court gave for why they blocked trump from EOing DACA out of existence. They said it's not the president's job to determine what is and isn't constitutional, so they blocked his executive order. Therefore nothing the senate does from here on out is valid.
