I'm a government employee in Oregon and my local government agency just created a 'black only space' for black employees. Human Resources sent out the email advertising this group.
The group is titled 'Black Space' and the body of the email says:"This meeting is specifically for City of Portland’s Black employees. We will provide support where needed, and work together to identify common experiences as well as ways the City can better support and retain Black employees.
Meetings occur on the last Monday of every month. "
What the hell do I do with this information?

Not gonna work in Portland. The media is not just controlled by one party, they are aggressive and NEVER held to account for their lies. Anyone who tries this will absolutely be fired by the end of the day and have their face/name/address plastered all over by the end of the day. This isn't theoretical, it happens all the time. The ACLU is totally sold out to critical race theory and will not help. The Civil Rights officers at the city will ONLY protect specific minorities. In their own literature, they claim that it is impossible to be racist towards certain groups. With this mindset, any complaint will be seen as a racial attack.
Best bet is to get out of PDX before the place completely implodes.
You request a white only space, threaten to sue for equal treatment under the law and equal access. They will give it to you or they will get sued. When you get fired you sue for 5 years of income, pension benefits and legal fees. You will win.

I am in the same boat, fren. But am in the uk. We have an intranet which has articles and the wokeness is snowballing and has been for about 3 years now.
An article was put up encouraging people to read the book "why i no longer talk to white people about race" among other blm topical things. I have seen very few colleagues with balls to express their difference of opinion such as stating that "all lives matter". This was met by the loud minority openly ganging up on these people and REEEEing.
Those few people were martyrs. I made the effort to contact these people who i had never met before to let them know there are people who agree with them. THATS where you can start. Take note of those who show discomfort with wokeness, contact them to at least let them know they are not alone and that can help bigly with the resistance effort.
If groups want safe spaces, go for it. I would just be worried about a slippery slope where your work gives space and tax dollers to neo nazi hangouts and antifa book clubs. Where does it end if we are moving back into segregation and identity politics circa 1930s russia.
There will be others like you who think socio-political meetups in the public sector are totally inappropriate so hunt those people out and make some new friends.
Do you have a union? If so, maybe make your way into it as a rep? Or just show up to their meetings and file a motion such as "politics should not be discussed or actively pushed in the work place" and see how many people are in agreement.
Not that the unions arent infected with wokeness if its anything like mine.

Most gov employees are there cos they want to help their country. Why give them shit for it? I get it may seem a lost cause short term but long term its your goddam country, man!
