You vastly underestimate how despicable these tyrants are and pretend like the local politics are any better. There are tons of honest people that love our Country that run for local elections and they end up pushed out and slandered for not being the puppets already in place. You underestimate the difficulty of this as if the corrupt shitwads that made a mockery of our election system are all of a sudden going to allow their puppets to lose power to someone honest that they can't control. As if they don't pay attention to local elections.
Not saying give up of course. But realize you put your hopes in misguided places that is actually leaving you docile and complacent with a system that is corrupt from the top down.
