Sen. Manchin is going to be one senator to watch closely over the next couple years. He's a Dem, but from the increasingly red West Virginia. Given the direction WV is headed, I think his days as senator of that state are numbered. Might just be a matter of getting the right candidate to run against him in 2024. He only won by margin 3% in 2018.

Yep. It's very hard to believe he won it. I don't know anyone who voted for him.

So nice to see a senator representing his constituents. The fact that he is a democrat makes it better.

Manchin will sell us out. Why wouldn't he? If he were a man of principle he'd have switched sides to prevent the dems from doing anything crazy. But he knows it's all a game and he's just playing his part. Expect a lot of symbolic votes but when the rubber meets the road, realize he's going to fall in line.
