I think the current governemnt needs to take the citizenship test and post their results so we can see how much they know their history and then we continue with this trial.

I think everyone should have to take a test like that to vote, let's face it, if you don't even know how many branches of government there are, maybe you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

That's a decent point. But then they use race and the education system. I went to a private school half my schooling then transfered to public school. In high school one of our teachers gave the entire class the first 10 questions and I got the highest grade of 3 questions right most people got 1 of not 2 right. Thats probably why the legal immigrants who became citizens know our history better as a whole. I was discussing this with an older generation and they said that is intresting and going to look into the citizenship test changing throughout the years. I just think it would be a wakeup call to show the people what the government knows about history and if they can score 70 or 80% on the first 10 questions. I also know someone who passed their citizenship test last year and someone who is in the process and the one who is currently in the process has a choice to take the old one or a new question one. Not sure what the questions are.
