No, don't do that. That allows them to claim to their advertisers that people are seeing the ads which is a net win for them.
Don't worry, google has this complicated system where advertisers get to check how much revenue they get from an ad (Return on Ad spend). So if advertisers see themselves bleeding out on inneffective ads, they usually cut funding.
