I thought they didn't believe in herd immunity. The angry leftist I know in person was harassing his conservative friend about herd immunity a few months ago, saying it doesn't exist. A few days ago now he mentions herd immunity like it's a good thing. These people aren't consistent at all.

I'm sure your friend's head would explode if you explained to them that herd immunity is also attainable by doing nothing, once enough people have antibodies from virus exposure, with or without symptoms.
