would like to see the industrial hemp business start up again in U.S. as hemp grows well here and can be used for many things; it grows really well in my geographic location, so it would be a great farming/industrial opportunity
most of the pot smokers I know (there are a lot of them in this area) just traded alcohol for weed; thus, they are idiots who will never be responsible...weed is legal in my state, the unemployment rate is high, and the local weed shop parking lot is always full with the same vehicles every day, so one can guess where all their unemployment money is being spent....some moron showed up at the ER after eating 2 bottles worth of those MJ gummies, of course they are on state health, so the taxpayers get to pay for that visit...if it wasn't weed, it would be something else (and usually does involve something else; they don't stick to just weed)...dumbasses are a fact of life; most vote Dem because "Republicans want to take away our weed!"...I rest my case
that will go off about how those who know nothing about firearms are all about preaching and making the laws, rules and classifications fo them.
"They don't know what they're talking about! They don't even know what an assault rifle is!" " They don't even own guns yet want everyone to listen to them about owning guns!"
Yet here you are and you're doing it for cannabis. You know absolutely nothing about it. And you base your assumptions as if everyone is an assault stoner. Lmfao
Well, one is a constitutional right and the other isn't, but no matter.
I feel much the same way about firearms as I do pot (and just about everything else): people should be responsible in the ownership and handling of said firearms, and of course there are going to be a lot of dumbfucks who simply will not be. I like to call it The Law of Why We Cannot Have Nice Things.
As in everything one must balance one's desire for personal liberty with a responsibility towards the rest of the world while acknowledging that there will be fucking morons out there who will do nothing of the sort. To think otherwise is to live a lie.
Right now, locally, the morons are having a field day at the local pot shop...it eventually will create a backlash more than likely. Hence, my 50/50 pro/con split with a side order of "meh".
Way to write a novel without saying anything.
Good job!
Oh ya... What's the constitution written on again?
Do you have as much conviction for other topics or just this one in particular?? So I guess you support gun bans then right? ~ "The law of why we can't have nice things?"
Yes, I do. I believe people should be responsible and that irresponsible people ruin shit.
And I never said anything about banning anything...just that stupid fucking morons who will not act responsibly or take responsibility will inevitably lead to a backlash that takes things away from everybody. That seems to be a proven fact.
I traded weed for alcohol then reversed it back after I got off probation. Definitely feel way better after quitting booze. But I understand first hand that other drugs come with weed. Or take away weed, and the problem is now much bigger than smoking a joint.
Most of the regulars at the local weed shop (it's on the main thoroughfare in the biggest town in the county, so I drive past it every day) are on public aid of some sort (it isn't that big of a town, so you know people). Most have a criminal record of some kind (DUI being the most popular). They don't know moderation of any kind. And they're buying for other people, including minors (heh, kind of like a lot of alcoholics enable that sort of shit). And yeah, they're not adverse to abusing other things as well. I'm tired of their bullshit; I'm tired of paying for their bullshit -- I feel the same way about them as I do about alcoholics. It would be great if the only people to come to grief for their bullshit was them, but that's not how it works. Legal, illegal, doesn't really matter. Morons run the world.
Not high on my list, but:
