Propaganda is very effective. Anyone casually following along by watching the "news" or reading articles posted by their Democrat friends on social media is going to have a view of events that does not match reality. Sadly, this is the case for almost all normies.

In order to be truly informed these days you need to actively seek out the truth, which, which is actively censored and buried beneath a pile of propaganda. Most people aren't doing that, so they end up believing the ubiquitous and heavily promoted Fake News.
