My favorite teachers growing up were all men; usually science. Physics. Biology. Engineering. I had one English teacher I really liked. I preferred them because they actually got involved with the class and presented things to you using practical hands-on examples, or let you feel like you were a part of the lesson. They were also some of the precious few male role models I had in my life.
I feel the same way about my male teachers.

Personally, I think Gay people are fine and know exactly what they're doing. Many have stayed hidden away for years trying to find some sense of peace and sense as to who they're attracted to, many more have taken harassment as such. I've known many and they're great/good contributors to our community, etc. It's the trans people we really need to worry about in positions of authority.

Only in San Francisco is being gay and the father of mixed-race kids “not diverse enough.” I hate to say it, but a school advisory panel made up entirely of women is never going to get anything done. Men are problem solvers, women just like to have their feelings validated. You need a mix of both.

Reminds me of a show where they had with islands with all men, and all women, and the men had a functioning society while the woman were starving and in the ran, and all they did was talk about what they should do instead of actually doing it.

The women spent all their time sea bathing and eating all the food (gone in 3 days), had no shelter, had no other supplies or structures built. They couldn’t get anything done to even find water because they couldn’t reach consensus.
The men rationed the food, had shelter, drying racks, water, other tools and supplies etc., and there was a sort of chain of command with tasks given appropriate priority. Shit got done. Fast. And these weren’t military guys either, just normal dudes.
The show hosts felt so bad and embarrassed for the women that they sent one man over to the women’s tribe, and one woman over to the men’s tribe.
The woman who flipped was sheltered, helped, had all the food she could want, and was comfortable. She was showered in attention.
The man who flipped... the poor bastard. Where’s your shelter? Where’s your food? Where’s your tools? He wound up busting his ass to get something built. The women were largely unhelpful.
