That's not true, they disabled a guy's account for putting up pro-white posters around campus, the posters had his protonmail email address on it and someone reported him.

If they were posters saying "It's Okay To Be White", then I hope he didn't add any links to them because as one of the main organizers and leaders of that poster campaign since it began, I've told people not to change it or add links for years (I've repeated it thousands of times). Adding links or emails to the poster changes it from a simple statement that you either have to agree or disagree with, to something the MSM can claim is a "recruitment tool for a hate group with links to dangerous websites" or some other bullshit spin. Having no links eliminates this dishonest angle from MSM's options.
I wouldn't trust any email provider as email was never meant to be private. The best thing to do is setup your own email hosting this way you control everything and no one can cancel you. It's not hard to do these days and cheaper then Protonmail too.
Stick to Session or Signal for sensitive communications and consider email public.

I use PM, but I don't really trust them ... they are a big step foward from gmail ... if I needed rock-solid email I would probably go with tutanota.

Do you find Tutanota easy to use? I am jumping ship from Proton after reading the above article.
