Thanks for this info, nothing is perfect and I'm not naive enough to take anything a tech company says at face value but I think we both agree it's much better than gmail.
When I use protonmail I assume that the email I'm sending could be decrypted and leaked at any moment and write it accordingly. Any fed who for some reason might get into my account is going to be very frustrated and disappointed.
And anyway I believe peaceful legal activism is far more effective than violence because feds crave (and incite) violence to demonize their political opponents, it actually helps them. What they fear most is popular funny criticism of their corrupt establishment; that has the potential to destabilize their dystopia whereas idiotic little violent outbursts stabilize their system.
Good read, thank you. I knew there was a reason I didn’t trust them. Funny enough, people would be wise to understand you cannot trust ANYTHING on the internet.

I agree. Gmail sending me advertisements and involving Google makes anything better.
How does one truly know if there is end to end encryption?
Wow, after reading that it seems protonmail is absolutely not to be trusted.

Yep, I've always been wary of them because of that. You know the ol', new adage, "If you want something done right, you must do it yourself"
Better to host your own and stop wasting time doing it
