My guess is that he wants the Dems to think he's weak, as he's always done, before striking the final blow. Ted Cruz saying the Dems' argument was impressive is strange in itself - it was nowhere near to being impressive: they played a doctored video of the 6th, the lawyer tried to cry, couldn't, so squeezed his eyes, mentioned his 24-year-old traumatised daughter who doesn't ever want to set foot in the Capitol again, etc.
The lawyer saying he was impressed with the Dems to the extent that he had to change his own case is suspicious to say the least... We must try to be sagacious, and read in between the lines. Had this been true, he would not have said it. The only reason he did is because he probably didn't. This is POTUS we're speaking about. He knows how to rally people, he knows how to talk to them, he knows what works. People should stop reading MSM. We've been saying this for so long; you think that Breitbart is on our side because they're speaking of the doctored video, but reading them because you think they're on our side is even more nefarious than reading CNN, because some things they say actually stick, and you end up believing them.

Really? I think I saw this exact phrasing several dozen times regarding the legal fight over election fraud.
