Looked it up. Cuban stated that he'd cross the street if he saw a "black kid in a hoodie" approaching him.

6% of the population, 50% of the violent crime.

Black males ages 14-45 are about 4.5% of the population yet commit about 99% of the crime when the victim and perp are different races (when the perp and victim don't know each other - if they do, then stats are fairly similar to the overall composition of the country, ie, most perps are female)

It's just a statistical risk assessment in order to up chances of living the next day. It is a human survival skill to know what a risk is and avoid it regardless if ones feeling are hurt. It isnt the black kid in a hoodie that people fear, it's the 1000s of.videos out there of black "kids" in hoodies doing violent arrogant shit to innocent white people that has people sterotyping. If blacks behaved like most asians, there wouldnt be a fear of them. Very simple.

There is a precedent in real life that is enforced through film and music that a black person in a hoodie means that his/her intentions are less than good. So, no, skin color plays a huge role.
