This isn't a troll post but a question that I have scratched my head over. When he was inviting people to DC on the 6th, I figured it was part of an elaborate plan and he would make a major announcement to prove widespread election fraud. without a shadow of a doubt, that even his biggest detractors could not deny.
Not only was there no announcement but the whole thing ended up backfiring on him and was extremely counter productive. There are times when he did something controversial that would increase his popularity or benefit him in some way, but this wasn't one of them. He was not responsible for what happened but there was nothing to gain by inviting so many people to DC in the first place.
What was the point? It just gave his enemies all kinds of ammo to use against him.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I think it was a naive assumption to think Congress would decertify the fraudulent election based on a peaceful protest. My guess is that we won’t get the answer to that question until the impeachment trial is over.
Yes agree that it was a naive assumption. The defense hasn't been impressive so far. Hopefully they can turn it around.
My theory is that he actually had placed all his eggs in the "Pence" basket, and he trusted that. That theory makes me sad, and before it happened, I assumed there was no way the whole plan was to just trust Pence. I haven't trusted Pence since I first saw how he handled the "coronavirus task force."
He failed to get rid of people who were wrong over and over. He failed to quell the insanity and fear mongering. Sometimes he even seemed to fan the flames. Once I saw that, I never trusted him. POTUS should've known better than to trust him imo.
Unfortunately that seems to be true. Figured he would have talked with Pence privately and worked things out with him ahead of time. But if he couldn't convince Pence one on one, perhaps he was naive enough to think that the people would convince him. More and more Republicans were jumping on the election fraud bandwagon, especially after losing GA, and most of them ended up backing off. Very counterproductive.
I still have hope that Trump has something up his sleeve or knows something and is timing his move. Other than that, freedom as we know it will be told in poems and cryptic folk songs by the year 2121.
The deepstate can infiltrate or false flag at absolutely any time they want to flag up an insurrection to get their zombies or other nations to invade to stop.
It's a good question. Maybe he thought that a humongous crowd would give strength to the Republicrats? Little did he know it is a uniparty.
He was backstabbed by the Women for Trump group. They were supposed to help organize the crowd and they went AWOL leading to a chaotic situation. This of course was planned and Antifa/Capitol police coordinated to usher the crowd into the Capitol in the confusion. The crowd had already been lead into the Capitol before President Trump finished his speech, so instead of marching over in unison so he could present his case, everyone went into lockdown the crowd was left hanging.
Because the left aren’t the only ones allowed to protest. I make no apologies for the people who showed up at the stop the steal rally. I feel guilty that I didn’t show up myself.
