I don't know if there are enough treacherous Republicans to convict him, but the tally of GOP fudgepackers showing their true colors is growing and will be higher than heretofore.

Yeah, this story is part of the propaganda push to pressure them to vote for conviction, but it is useful in (vaguely) predicting the immediate future.
