I think you’re getting downvotes because it sounds like you’re defending the media. But on a second reading of your comment it sounds like you mean they’d write something like

Mild “neutral” wording that reports the right info to put an unaware reader on rails so that they come to their own conclusions, which just so happen to be the “right” opinion.
