NO student is under ANY obligation to have to call a person by the pronouns they choose! ANY student can choose whatever pronouns they want, but because they do, DOES NOT mean other students have to suffer that stupidity any more than if a student requested that you call him a partially opened garage door, but a manual one, not an electric one.
The correct thing to do is to constantly change your pronouns every single time they are used or asked in a class of this nature. You can only fight absurdity with absurdity, these people cannot be reasoned with.
Why the hell would anyone take a class called:
"History of POC" . Why not take something useful, like ," History of Western Civilization " or something similar. I would talk to the History Department chairman and ask why there are no classes on, " History of Whypipo" and that the absence of these types of classes make you feel disrespected.
I’d respond with how I’m offended by their pronouns because I don’t believe that way. 🤷🏻♀️
just throw it right back on them, I know they won’t grasp that concept, but I’d just keep saying how offended I am as well and say I may have to escalate it to the dean because of how badly offended I am by their email to me and the students complaint.
