It wasn’t that long ago that we recalled a Democrat and voted in a Republican. In fact Arnold was our Governor ten years ago. Californians are fickle. They’ll keep voting for Democrats as long as times seem good, but as soon as they head south we’ll recall your ass, even if you’re a Democrat.
Davis fucked us on Enron and some other social stuff. Basically trying to please everyone all the time, so nobody was happy. Newsom has devastated the state, and then got caught partying with the elites at one of California’s most expensive restaurants. I think that’s what got him more than anything, especially when nobody was following guidelines and some were medical industry professionals.
However recalling him is only half the effort. We then need somebody to run against him, and win.
They'll do it in California too. These people just stole the national election for president and got away with it with zero repercussions. There is no reason for them not to illegally toss out a recall effort because they know they will again face zero repercussions.
$100 says they invalidate just enough signatures to make the recall fail. We Oregonians have seen this movie before.
