The terrible choice of being "woke" will be very costly as it already has been with the shutdowns especially here in Commiefornia. Freedom isin't free and I would rather hear my children bitch and moan then give your corporation another cent. I hope you come back down to reality and realize what matters most until then I hope nothing but the worst for your company TRUMP WON.

Television, at its essence, WAS an outlet for advertising. Their money is what paid for the network operations costs, including buying the shows it airs. The "commercial-free cable" is no exception, since the syndicated cable companies pay those networks for rebroadcast rights in their packages advertised to their paying subscriber customers.
In applicable real-world practice, the advertisers put their sponsorship money on the shows people in their target buyer market are likely to watch. All the dumb-assed shows on TV tend to advertise crappy-food, booze, etc. The news and Golf programs advertise financial products ( insurance, mortgages, investment firms, etc. )
The increasing number of "black & gay" people on shows in the past 20 years, with increased representation in ads, drove white people away from Network TV because they can't relate with the characters anymore. Viewers need to see themselves AS at least one of the characters to enjoy a show. The result of this is that blacks now account for nearly 30% of the major network viewership, despite being only 13.2% of the U.S. population. Television has lost viewers by being diverse. This also means advertisers now reach less people with their ads.
Major networks were too stupid to see this, mostly because they were all sold to energy companies and managed from the top-down by people with no entertainment experience. EVERYBODY needs to buy electricity, and so they figure TV can be done the same way. But they got their paradigm change in 2015...
Proctor & Gamble has been TVs largest advertiser, accounting for 60% of all ad dollars ( followed by Ford & Chevy ). Under direction of its ( now former ) CEO, P&G response to the viewer change was to create ads featuring black and gay people ( Tide, Swiffer, Pampers, etc. ) to target those groups, ( long after the 2008/2009 crash, which not a factor in the result below. )
P&G lost 2 billion dollars in projected sales and dropped 10 stock points from 90 to 80 dollars a share in the next two years.
The P&G CEO was fired. The old CEO who increased P&G sales significantly was brought out of retirement to fix the issue.
NBC & ABC announced that 21 of their 32 new shows in 2016 would feature black characters, and ABC announced a show about a transgender person, produced by Ryan Seacrest.
The new P&G CEO knew this was the kind of thing that was KILLING P&G's ability to advertise to White Christian Americans ( or descendants thereof ) which is over 50% of USA and Canada ... so he told ABC that P&G would not be renewing its blanket contract with ABC if they aired that show. ABC did it anyway, citing discrimination, so P&G showed them they are serious, by refusing to renew its contract for sponsorship of American Idol - and American Idol was cancelled.
Your cancellation of Disney Plus will actually go a long way.
Funny, the dude hired to replace Gina had been fired years ago for a past tweet someone dug up. I won't even mention it, but here's a hint:

If you watch it, can you figure out "what Island" they're referring to?
