Seceding for us would be very tricky, because we have all the water, and the rest of California wants it like Gollum on a gold ring. We got really close right before WWII, and that likely was our best chance for it to happen.
As soon as the State and Federal water projects went in I think that dream was pretty much out the window. The state is too dependent on us now to let us go.
Well I think since its a republic and was formed the same way Texas was their maybe something in the original charter. California seceded from Spain and then requested to join the union. There was false flag and everything.
