The scapegoating dynamic goes deeper than just blaming other people for our problems.
When we scapegoat a person or a group, we seek to put all of our problems into that group, and then get rid of it so that the problems go with them.

People who are uneducated on history also don’t know that Hitler didn’t start the anti-Jew movement. It was prominent in the press long before Hitler’s rise to power. In fact, Hitler wrote that he was very against it in his younger years. Of course he later changed his mind.
