This is exactly the way that Dems have taken over so many "working level" positions in the country, and there is absolutely no reason that we should not do exactly the same thing. Get involved in politics at the local level. Get out the vote. Ensure that elections are LEGAL and FAIR. Nothing wrong with any of that. We tend to grumble a lot because things are not being done the right way in this country, but how many of us are willing to get off our butts, take one of these unfilled slots, and get busy seeing that our candidates are elected? And then held to the line? Good idea, and its time may have come.
