FYI - "military industrial complex" does not start wars - they provide tools to fight wars for our military.

They donate to the politicans who push for war, who then sit on the budget comittee to designate the budget bloat to said defense contractors who will then make the tools for the new war and as they make $, guess who gets more money for re election and then continues to drag out the war? It's a big circle and lots of people get rich when there is a never ending war or "enemy" that needs to be dealt with...Even gen/potus eisenhower warned about this in 1958.

You really have no idea how acquisition and/or budget works.

You really do think nobody get's rich off never ending wars, do you? Every war is a good war, right?...you probably still think the GOP is filled with honest people and the government would never have it's own system of skimming in place.

Obviously answer is NO to all. But blame should be correctly placed. Boeing is not responsible for Iraq conflict. Neither is Northrop Grumman for Vietnam. None of defense industry pushing fake-news intel to leadership to conduct offensive operations.

So they don’t make nearly as much money if there’s no war?

maybe that's true for the munitions such as bullets, rockets, bombs and missiles which go quickly out of stock if used heavily, but not true for the hardware. Currently, It takes a decade to develop a fighter jet.

if you want to be mad at anyone - military benefits from wars and civilian leadership.
