USPS is doing an intentional work slow down because the union is mad that they didn't get the ot deal they wanted and for extra holiday help they used temps instead of hires. USPS has seen overall deliveries decline for decades and Amazon is doing their own package delivery now so USPS union fights cuts as much as they can, and here they demand growth. Its an effort to get rid of DeJoy, the post master President Trump appointed because he came from private industry and not the union

Too bad for them USPS turned a profit this last quarter when last year they lost $700mil

USPS managed to turn a $748 million loss from the same period—Oct. 1-Dec. 31—in 2019 into a $318 million profit in 2020.

Even my small town just got an amazon delivery warehouse. Apparently it's just going to be a drop-off from the warehouse in Oklahoma City and then they will hire people to pick up the packages and deliver it.
