I'm in a family business, if we go up to $15 an hour, we're looking at doling out another grand a week, roughly, which we frankly can't afford. That means either people get fired or we sell. I don't like either of those options. Obligatory: Damn the Man

This is deliberate destruction of small businesses, and it's glaringly obvious. The handful of companies and banks that own all the big stuff don't want the small stuff challenging them.
