My best HS teacher got into hot water one year over a similar lesson plan. He was on the topic when all the students got vehement they couldn't be nazis, because they were good people who wouldn't do it. So he said, okay, it's extra assignment time: design a concentration camp. The secret was you get an A for saying no and an F for anything else.

Got the local news in a tizzy. But taught 30 little sheep they could be lead anywhere if they didn't use their heads.

Check this documentary on Netflix- " Hitler's circle of evil " So many similarities to what we are seeing today with the Marxist Democrats.

I would have 1 lesson plan on the tactics of Joseph Goebbels, Reich Minister of Propaganda. 25 quotes of Goebbels follows. Easy to find similarities in the United States.

He was elected by the German people.

He was first elected and then he did some maneuvering to remain in power. And he did this in order to replace the corrupt traitorous government that worked against the interests of the German people. I don't see anything wrong with fighting for the people's best interests.

Some good ideas, some bad ideas.

The inability to disagree with the government being the biggest of bad ideas...

How about showing them the gake attack at the German border that was made and filmed and used by Joseph Goebbels to justify rolling over poland....fake smoke and bomb craters made by Hitler to convince the German people invading Poland was justified....much like antifa and the capitol.

Look at Milton Friedman a free to choose. He lists the DNC platform next to the nazi platform

Here is one:

The fake capital, so called riot, is nothing more than today's DNC Marxists government thugs Reichstag fire....

Then follow from there what political tyranny took place with the so called manufactured violence as justification for it.

Not defending the communist party in Germany, but Hitler definitely took one out of their playbook.

I would also introduce them to the term False Flag. The Nazis faked an attack on their homeland by Poland in order to justify the German invasion of Poland.

Gun control, the 'othering' and blaming of societal ills on one group of people, censorship to the point where the government narrative is the only narrative allowed to be spoken about, national healthcare, SOCIALISM

Read the 25 Point Plan of National Socialism. I think you'll be surprised to find that National Socialism is very different from what you were told.

"I'm guessing Goebbels films were all fact and not fiction though?"

You mean the propaganda/entertainment films like Der ewige Jude? Well, that one was based on Jewish behavior but I don't think that was based on a singular Jewish story. It seemed to be more of a composite of true jewish stories, dramatised for the cinema. That was actually the only NSDAP film I watched but I have read some Goebbels speeches, and I don't remember disagreeing with much of what he said.

"And in order to get a gun, you needed to be a card carrying Nazi......so I'm forced to believe in an ideology in order to exercise my 2nd amendment right?"

This is nonsense. To have a gun the requirements were that you were ethnically German and that your loyalty was to your people and country. That was what the entire National Socialist ideology was based on. Everything was done with the purpose of helping Germans improve themselves, their individual lives, and to uplift the German people as a whole.

"Tell me about protesting"

Germans didn't want to protest because they had excellent lives and the freedom to pursue their own interests as long as they weren't degenerate and/or harmful to the German people.

"or freedom of religion"

I'm sure the NSDAP didn't tolerate religions like Islam, though that would be alien to ethnic Germans anyway. But Hitler didn't discourage Germans from practicing Christianity even though I believe Hitler was more interested in paganism than anything else.

"or the right to search homes without a warrant"

I never heard of this happening to Germans. Only to Jews. And Jews were, for good reason, considered subversive enemies of the state.

"or a trial by jury"

I don't know about this specific point. My perception is that they had a fair and functional justice system though. I think the 25 Point Plan shows a very reasonable mindset regarding government policy and I believe it's reasonable to assume this mindset extended to other government policy as well.

"you are literally an anti-american, and there is no way Trump would every want you to be a part of his base"

How can I be anti-American if I want what's best for America? I stand against the RINOs and the Democrats. If Trump felt that way about me, that's his problem. Trump, after all, didn't have the best judgement about who he chose to surround himself with, such as Barr, Kushner, Pence etc. Maybe I should take that as a compliment. I admit that I disagree with Trump on some things. I'm not ashamed to not be a Trump sycophant.
