First off, he actually said the quiet part out loud. Holy shit “peasants”.

Secondly, I agree with him on equitable vaccine distribution. Personally as a straight white man, I apparently have been hogging all the privilege. Since the vaccine is totally tested and it’s definitely safe and effective, I won’t get the totally necessary vaccine until every single non straight, non white, and non male has gotten it first. Join me in refusing to take the vaccine until it is proven that every POC has gotten it first.

We’ve taken enough from these people. We took their ancestral homelands from them, from the beautiful shores of Somalia, to the vast plains of the Congo, and the ocean views of Equatorial Guinea. Of course they’d all rather be back in those places than here in America I’m sure. But we took them and now they can’t go back.

So let’s give a little back to them. Let’s make sure that we don’t get the vaccine until every single POC can get it first. We get it later, so they get it sooner. Today you, tomorrow me.

What really pisses me off is that those monsters tested symptomatic people and then sent them home, untreated, to see whether they got sick enough to be hospitalized in 3 weeks.

If you had your own doctor, you could get outpatient treatment, because although the State threatened doctors, most of them cared enough about their patients to prescribe hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin and the rest of the cocktail, anyway.

Mexicans in the border counties, apparently, just went home to quarantine, and some of them had to be hospitalized and some of them died.

During the first wave of the epidemic, cases and deaths mirrored the ethnic makeup of the population. Then, hispanic cases became HALF of the total.

That was beautiful.

I am stealing that to repeat near verbatim to HR when our company starts pressuring us to get it.

Today you, tomorrow xir, the next day them, and eventually, someday perhaps, well, we'll see if it ever gets to me...

Just remember that it’s important we take an active role in destroying our privileges. If you just passively renounce your privilege it won’t do anything but make you a hypocrite. You’ll still be the one getting the vaccine, while oppressed POC continue to be disproportionately affected by the totally real and super serial pandemic. This is where you start to make that stand. You will not take that dose when some POC are being overlooked. The only reason you have the opportunity to get it and they don’t is because you have lived a life you didn’t earn that put you in the place where you are offered the vaccine. You didn’t earn it, POC need it more, taking that dose is nothing more than you continuing to benefit off your ill gotten privilege. It’s time for you to start doing the work needed to begin healing your ancestral sins.

Gotta out HR the HR Karens.

Standing slow-clap.

I remember reading something about how the left can't accurately mimic the right because they just essentially stick their fingers in their ears and "nyah-nyah-nyah" rather than listening and trying to understand. Whereas the right can mimic the left because we've paid enough attention and actually listened enough to learn the patterns and structure.

But this was particularly impressive.

Thank you. That is an interesting point about how the left imitates the right poorly. I’ve never heard anyone on the left accurately represent conservative arguments.

For me, I think it’s one of my gifts. Unfortunately I am not in a position to do anything real with it.

I'll just save this for later.

Firstly, Someone needs to hire you to write press briefs, speeches etc....seriously Secondly, I'm completely onboard with everything you said. I wouldn't want others to suffer because of my privilege...that would be very white of me..

Writing speeches and press briefings would be a dream. Hell I’d even work for the other side, sneaking by copy that makes them feel great but look ridiculous to fence sitters.

I'd like to happily donate my vaccine to a needly black man. Or a transgender. You know, out of love.
